RedPen is a desktop application for macOS. It provides structured analytical critique of academic manuscripts to assist researchers in their own pre-submission review process. It is not a peer review service, and its output does not constitute peer review in any formal sense.
All editorial and authorial decisions remain with you. RedPen produces analytical critique as input to your thinking. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and content of any manuscript you submit for publication. RedPen does not write, edit, or contribute content to your work.
RedPen requires you to supply your own Anthropic API key. By using RedPen, you agree to Anthropic's terms of service. Usage costs are governed by your relationship with Anthropic directly. RedPen has no involvement in that relationship.
AI-generated critique may contain inaccuracies, hallucinated references, or assessments that do not reflect the actual state of the literature. Verify any specific factual claims before acting on them. RedPen is an assistive tool, not an authoritative one.
RedPen is provided as-is. No warranty is made regarding fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of output, or continued availability. Use it as one input among many in your pre-submission process.
These terms may be updated. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
